Ignacio Ferrara, CEO

He was in the thirties of the twentieth century when Mr. Federico Ferrara undertook the challenge of opening the doors of Monterrey Chemical Products , in order to meet the imminent need of the laboratories of the time to supply high purity acids in a reliable and safe way. Many were the challenges that would have to be overcome, but in the end it managed to provide the analytical community of the region, conveniently and reliably, with the products that had to be brought by railroad from afar with great risks and delays. Years passed and in 1967 PQM opened its plant for the manufacture of Inorganic Salts, and subsequently its plant for the manufacture of high purity Solvents. With a complete offer, the focus went on to the successful creation of a chain of distributors that covered the entire national territory. Next step, in the 1970s, PQM began its export adventure by serving various clients in the North and South American markets. In 1999, PQM achieved its ISO-9001 certification, thus becoming a national pioneer in the industry, and at the same time it put itself in equal circumstances with the leading companies in the world of the analytical field. To remain at the forefront, in 2013 PQM completely renews its quality control laboratory with the highest technology, and in 2014, it undertakes a new challenge by building the first facilities that meet the most rigorous operating standards, in order to manufacture products under Good Manufacturing Practices, an essential step to supply the pharmaceutical industry. PQM is a manufacturer of laboratory reagents and high purity chemicals (acids, dry salts and solvents) with more than 80 years of experience.
